Cannara Biotech Inc. is currently looking for an Accounting Technician to join our dynamic team.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the main responsibilities of the Accounting Technician are to be in charge of payments, banking on a daily basis. The Accounting Technician will be responsible for various analyses and will actively participate in data collection as required. The incumbent will also be required to participate in various accounting projects, as well as the appropriate control and documentation of work procedures.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, execute and monitor various monthly payment, analysis and recording schedules;
  • Reconciliation of supplier transactions and purchase orders;
  • Record credit card transactions;
  • Prepare payments on a regular basis;
  • Process employee expense claims in accordance with company policies;
  • Daily bank reconciliation;
  • Support the team at the end of periods;
  • Actively participate in month-end and year-end operations;
  • Other related activities that may be required to support the organization.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • DEP in accounting or other related training. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
    • Three (3) years of relevant experience;
    • Knowledge of ERP systems, with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics an asset;
    • Knowledge and mastery of Word, Excel and Outlook to effectively manage data extraction and prepare required reports;
    • Bilingualism (contact with suppliers);
    • Be able to manage and carry out several tasks with precision, while respecting deadlines;
    • Work independently;
    • Good team spirit;
    • Good attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
